Wireless Powered Multi-Access Edge Computing with Slotted ALOHA

In this work, the integration of multi-access edge computing (MEC) with wireless power transfer (WPT) and slotted-ALOHA (SA) is investigated. All aforementioned technologies are considered key enablers for future Internet Things networks, therefore, their interaction great significance. To that end, an energy efficient medium access protocol designed, where each powered device (WPD) harvests in order to either locally process a task or offload it MEC server, by using SA. A non-convex minimization problem formulated, which aid proper transformations successive convex approximation (SCA) transformed equivalent one. Finally, simulation results presented extract various insights proposed architecture.
